The planets in a horoscope (natal chart) represent an individual source of information about each person and are among the most important indicators reflecting inclinations, temperament, and personality traits. There are several levels at which the influence of celestial bodies manifests: intellectual, physical, and emotional. The principles inherent to each planet are present to some degree in everyone. One of the main tasks of the astrologer is to determine the specific manner in which these planetary energies affect a particular native.

Each planet contains information about a particular facet of the personality:
