Carl Gustav Jung

A swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, founder of analytical psychology.
Carl Jung was born in Keeswil, Switzerland, the son of a Protestant pastor. His childhood was spent in an atmosphere of religious and philosophical reflection, which influenced his further research. Jung entered the University of Basel, where he studied medicine and then specialized in psychiatry.
Jung began his career in a psychiatric clinic in Zurich under the direction of Eugen Bleuler. During this period, he became acquainted with the works of Sigmund Freud and became his follower. Jung and Freud worked together for several years, exchanging ideas and letters, but they parted ways in 1913 due to fundamental differences in theoretical views.
After his break with Freud, Jung developed his own theories. He introduced the concepts of the collective unconscious and archetypes, arguing that they are universal elements of the human psyche. His works, such as Psychological Types and Symbols of Transformation, laid the foundation for analytical psychology.
In his later years, Jung continued to actively write and teach. His writings covered a wide range of topics, including alchemy, mythology, religion and art. Jung also developed the concept of individuation, the process by which a person becomes aware of and integrates various aspects of his or her personality.
Carl Jung had a huge influence on psychology, psychotherapy and cultural studies. His ideas continue to be actively studied and applied in modern psychology, as well as in other humanities. Jung left behind a rich legacy, including numerous books, articles and lectures that continue to inspire scholars and practitioners around the world.
Jung was married to Emma Rauschenbach, with whom he had five children. Family played an important role in his life, and his wife often supported him in his work and research.

The position of the Ascendant in the signs of the Zodiac determines how a person manifests outwardly.
