Alexandr Pushkin

Russian writer, playwright of the Romantic era and the greatest Russian poet, founder of modern Russian literature.
Pushkin was born into the Moscow nobility. His father, Sergei Lvovich Pushkin, belonged to the Pushkin noble families. His maternal great-grandfather was General Abram Petrovich Hannibal, a native of Central Africa.
