Ginger Rogers

Ginger Rogers is an American actress, dancer and singer, a star of classic Hollywood, famous for her roles in musicals, especially with Fred Astaire. She was born Virginia Katherine McMath and studied dancing and performing on stage from a young age. In the 1930s, she signed a contract with RKO Pictures and soon became famous thanks to films with Astaire, in which they performed unique, carefully honed dance routines. Their on-screen duet became one of the most beloved and iconic in cinema, and together they starred in ten films, such as Top Hat (1935) and Top Hat (1935).
Ginger was not only a talented dancer, but also a dramatic actress: in 1940, she won an Oscar for her leading role in the film Kitty Foyle. After the 1940s, her film career began to fade somewhat, and Rogers switched to theater productions and musicals on Broadway, continuing to delight audiences with her performances.
