Adriano Celentano

Italian musician, film actor, pop singer, film director, composer, public figure and TV presenter. In Italy, for his manner of moving on stage, he received the nickname “Molleggiato” (from Italian – “On springs”).
Celentano is one of the most successful and influential performers in the history of Italian music – throughout his career he performed about six hundred songs, released forty-three studio albums with a total circulation of 150 million copies, and also starred in more than forty films. Winner of two David di Donatello awards for best actor in the films “Bluff” (1976) and “Velvet Hands” (1980). In 1989 he was awarded the highest prize of the city of Milan – Ambrogino d’oro (from Italian – “Golden Ambrose”). In 2007, he topped the list of “100 Brightest Movie Stars” according to Time Out magazine.
Asteroid No. 6697, discovered on April 24, 1987, is named in honor of Celentano.
Adriano Celentano is married to actress Claudia Mori. Claudia also serves as CEO of Clan Celentano. They have three children: daughters Rosita and Rosalinda and son Giacomo. Giacomo is also a singer, and Rosalinda is a film actress. In November 2004, Giacomo Celentano gave birth to a son, Samuele, until now the only grandson of Adriano and Claudia.
