Marie Fredriksson

Swedish singer, composer, songwriter, pianist, artist. She gained fame as the vocalist of the pop rock band Roxette, which she founded together with Per Gessle in 1986. The duo’s international popularity peaked in the late 1980s and early 1990s with the release of the albums Look Sharp (1988) and Joyride (1991). The group had six hits at the top of the Billboard Hot 100: “The Look”, “Listen to Your Heart”, “Dangerous”, “It Must Have Been Love”, “Joyride” and “Fading Like a Flower (Every Time You Leave)”.
In 2002, Marie was diagnosed with a brain tumor. During her rehabilitation period, she continued to record music as a solo artist. This is how the albums “The Change” (2004), “Min bäste vän” (2006) were released, as well as the non-album single “Där du andas” (2008), which became the first and only No. 1 single in her entire career in Sweden.
