Paris Hilton is a former potential heiress to the family business, the Hilton Hotels chain. Her fame was brought to her by the reality show “The Simple Life” (2003–2007) (in which she played with her friend Nicole Richie) and her scandalous social life, because of which she is presented in the media primarily as a “socialite.” Paris Hilton is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of the Hilton hotel chain.
In 2000, Paris Hilton signed a contract with Donald Trump’s T Management modeling agency and became a professional model. She later worked for other modeling agencies: Ford Models Management in New York, Models 1 Agency in London, Nous Model Management in Los Angeles and Premier Model Management in London. KARMIC INDICATORS

Karmic indicators help a person become aware of deep-rooted problems that go back to past lives, and begin working on themselves in order to overcome them and improve both this life and, potentially, the next one. Karmic problems should not be understood as punishment for misdeeds and sins, as karma is usually interpreted in the everyday sense. Karma is not retribution, but rather inertia, when a person attracts similar situations from one life to another. From a karmic point of view, every element of the natal chart can be interpreted without exception. However, the most important indicators of karma in the horoscope are retrograde planets, if any, and the Lunar Nodes.

Retrograde Planets

Retrograde planets are always connected with turning back to the past. The more retrograde planets a person has in the horoscope, the stronger their connection with the past. A retrograde planet also points to an unresolved task from a past life, unfinished business, or unrealized abilities. It forces the person to take up again what could not be completed in the past. Retrograde Mercury — Individuality

When Mercury is retrograde in the horoscope, the individual’s conscious mind is able to intercept ideas from the universal consciousness of earlier times. Usually, they are not aware of this, but they are aware that they cannot easily make others understand everything they know. This is partly connected with the inversion of the Mercury symbol, in which the significance of Matter exceeds the significance of Spirit and Soul. This makes the individual concerned with the form of their ideas. And this acts as a barrier to the essence of their knowledge.

In addition, the wavelength of their mind differs slightly from what is accepted in society. Thought processes tend to repeat themselves like an endless recording, and as a result, most of the things they create are, in one form or another, copies of what they have already done. When they speak, it is difficult for them to project the exact telepathic pictures that convey the meanings of their thoughts. Thus, they often feel misunderstood and wonder why others do not always see things the same way they do.

They see themselves as more separate from society than a person with Mercury in direct motion may be. As a result, they desperately try to develop contacts with other people, overemphasizing their ideas until they begin to irritate those around them. Feeling constrained in company, they make great efforts to win the favor of others. Nevertheless, at the slightest hint of rejection, they may give up too easily. Ultimately, they learn that in order to have self-confidence, they must become more detached and impartial than people with Mercury in direct motion. This is often interpreted by others as “coldness,” but it is simply the vibration of retrograde Mercury, which is so obviously disharmonious with the vibrations of direct motion. Behind the apparent wall, this individual is far more sensitive than most people can imagine.

Once the communication barrier has been crossed, tremendous understanding and intuition emanate from retrograde Mercury. The retrograde individual does not fit into the ideas and opinions of the people around them. Instead, they can find peace in gratitude for their unique way of seeing things.

It is interesting to note that many people with musical talent have retrograde Mercury. Perhaps awareness of difficulties with spoken language led them to another form of communication, one that has much greater freedom and many levels of subtle mental and emotional expression.

Retrograde Mercury — Karma

A person with retrograde Mercury must experience unresolved relationship karma. They react to others as if those people symbolize figures from their past. Thus, it is difficult for them to keep the focus of their consciousness on the “here and now.” Usually, this manifests as difficulties with family and relatives. But the issue of relationships extends beyond communication with other people and includes the perception of the universe as a whole. There is often a problem characteristic of retrograde Mercury in terms of seeing what may be called an inverted reality. The individual has difficulty understanding the basic relationship between cause and effect. They explore the essence of life itself, yet often cannot see the simple connections between things, circumstances, and people. Lost in thoughts that lie beyond their understanding, they must learn to be content with the simple things on which life is based. They are so absorbed in uncovering what is beyond their understanding that they almost always miss the obvious.

From a karmic point of view, this individual must learn to focus attention on the reality of the present rather than lose themselves in all the apparent layers they perceive. When they are able to do this, they will be able to establish a solid point of reference in the “here and now,” through which all the discoveries they make can be expressed to the outer world.

Retrograde Mercury in Aquarius

This is one of the best positions for retrograde Mercury. The Uranian air quality of Aquarius gives Mercury enough space to comfortably experience the three-phase retrograde process through different dimensions of time and space. In Phase I, the individual feels happy leaping into the future, but does not want to spread into other people’s space. In Phase III, they are happy because they do not violate other people’s space, and they are glad to explore the past again in order to unearth extraordinary discoveries that will be useful at another future moment in time. In the cross-vibration of Phase II, the individual experiences a brief rest from research, but may be happy helping others. In all three phases, there is something for retrograde Mercury in Aquarius, which makes the individual so remarkably unique and original.

Although it may seem that they do not always have common sense, and at times show less stability than others would like to see in them, they have an enormous range of ideas that they draw from the most unusual places. Society usually fails to notice these ideas. They may take a concept as old as the world, change it slightly, and it may not be accepted for a millennium after they have proposed it. Their mental energies tend to flutter rather than hold a definite focus for a long period of time, and they may discuss a wide variety of topics in a single conversation. Although it may not seem that they are proving any point, they nevertheless prove that point in the strangest way. Others will understand them better days, weeks, or months after communicating with them than at the moment of conversation. They often bring with them from a past life into the present time — into a time when the world may be more ready to accept their ideas — the necessary details for remarkable inventions.

Retrograde Mercury in the Second House

Here, the individual feels most comfortable during Phase III of the retrograde process, where many of their thoughts are based on what they have already seen in the past. They may take a defensive position regarding the value systems they have worked so hard to crystallize. Easily becoming possessive of their past thoughts, they may fixate on one obsessive idea after another.

Much attention is focused on money; however, they may be frugal in small matters and wasteful in large ones, — depending on the phase they are in at the given moment. The difficulty of this position is that the thinking processes may become so deeply rooted in the material that it will not be easy for the individual to see the relative significance of other levels of life.

They tend to repeat themselves in many ways, eventually boring those around them. This is a very difficult position for Mercury — to be free enough to allow the individual to experience the full range of conscious reaction mechanisms. In almost everything they do, this individual is a creature of habit, and they often have difficulty breaking past patterns of behavior connected with excessive indulgence of their desires. Sometimes this position can lead to excess weight, since retrograde Mercury’s need for verbal expression, combined with the possessive qualities of the Second House and Taurus’s great love of food, creates a desire to overeat. In other cases, the retaining qualities of the Second House combine with the inward direction of retrograde Mercury to create an ulcer-prone individual who, instead of expressing all their values, becomes irritated and torments themselves with the question of why the world does not accept them. This individual brings into this life the karma of crystallized thinking within their value system, to which they stubbornly cling even after it has ceased to be relevant. A native with retrograde Jupiter is a living truth unto themselves.
