Victor Hugo

French writer, poet, playwright and public figure, one of the largest representatives of French romanticism.
Victor-Marie Hugo was born into a military family. His father was a general in the Napoleonic army, which determined the family’s frequent moves. Hugo was educated in Paris and showed an interest in literature from a young age.
Hugo began his literary career with poetry, publishing his first collection of Odes and Various Poems (1822) at the age of 20. He quickly became a famous poet and playwright, writing plays such as Ernani (1830), which played an important role in the development of French Romanticism.
Victor Hugo became famous for his novels, which often dealt with social and political issues:
Notre Dame (1831) is a historical novel about love, passion and tragedy set against the backdrop of medieval Paris.
Les Misérables (1862) is an epic about the fates of various characters against the backdrop of social change in 19th-century France.
Hugo actively participated in the political life of France. In 1848 he was elected to the National Assembly, but after the coup d’état of Napoleon III in 1851 he was forced to leave France. Hugo spent almost 20 years in exile, first on the island of Jersey, then on Guernsey. During this period he wrote many of his famous works, including Les Misérables.
After the fall of Napoleon III in 1870, Hugo returned to France as a national hero. He continued to write until the end of his life, remaining an influential figure in literature and politics. Victor Hugo died on May 22, 1885 in Paris. His funeral became a national event and he was buried in the Pantheon.

Retrograde Planets

Retrograde planets are always connected with turning back to the past. The more retrograde planets a person has in the horoscope, the stronger their connection with the past. Retrograde Jupiter - Individuality
